Arrived in Vancouver yesterday. The Olympic motto, "Citius, Altius, Fortius" (swifter, higher, stronger) certainly does not apply to airline travel these days! Anyway....the arrival and "processing" hotel is the Delta near the airport. All athletes and staff will process thru this Hotel over the next week or so. We have 216 athletes involved in 15 Winter Sport disciplines with 490 support staff. Last night I had dinner with the speed skating contingent. The coaches and team leader seem very pleased with how training and competitions have gone leading up to the games so I would say to look for some great performances from US Speedskating!
